• Problem

With thousands of employees working in different locations, our client had trouble monitoring their working time and attendance.

Employees were required to log working hours, breaks, and duties through PeopleSoft, their ERP. But the native interface was not optimized for daily use, especially on mobile devices. Our client needed a seamless, intuitive system that would simplify time tracking while maintaining full compatibility with PeopleSoft.

• Our Solution

We began with a detailed business analysis to understand the client’s workflows and the specifics of their ERP.

Then we built Android and iOS mobile apps. They allowed employees to conveniently record arrival, departure, lunch breaks, and daily duties and send the timesheets to supervisors. The apps also supported geolocation which could be toggled by employees.

We also created a web app that provided supervisors with broader oversight tools. It visualized employee routes on a map and generated detailed reports on the time spend working, driving, eating, etc. for each location.

Finally, we developed an API to integrate the tools with PeopleSoft.

• Workflow

The development team operated fully remotely, following Agile methodology with structured sprints and bi-weekly demos to ensure continuous feedback and alignment. Transparent communication and progress tracking were maintained through Jira for task management and Slack for daily collaboration.
